In which Gunjan draws things and then MASSIVE Stuff Happens

Two random things I drew when Neil Gaiman came to UDub, Seattle. I did not think they would receive  this much love, considering they began life as awkward doodles on a sketchbook.

Note to self: Carry sketchbook everywhere.

Also Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer are awesome.

Neil comes to Seattle

And does not get a drawing I made for him because he is like a building escaping ninja-writer.

Art

Inspired by Megan Fix's evil-ish face. Attempts at painterly art.

Feels Bad Man

Buffer illustration to fill space while I compile my work together. Feels bad man.

Fan Post!

Yes, so all of my roots emerge from fandom - and since I have done little else but fan-art for a while, let me just pay tribute to some of my fandoms right here:

X files meets MIB meets Fringe.

The sketch was composed in PS, and inked in Illustrator after. I couldn't decide whether to do it in colour or in monochrome so I did it both. In other news, Illustrator is fun! Characters from left t right:

Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Agent K, Agent J, Lincoln Lee , Olivia Dunham, Walter Bishop and Peter Bishop (blue 'verse).

A wee bit of the original idea in higher resolution for y'all. The original idea stemmed from me wondering what would happen if Fox Mulder happened to meet the MiB. I mean, seriously - that's just asking for trouble. Or maybe he's already met them several times and has no idea :P

And a random coloured doodle of Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr from X-men First Class (Roadtrip times) for your viewing pleasure. This was inked by hand and coloured digitally on PS. Done solely because the film was awesome. Now go watch ittttt.

Stupadorkosity

A conversation spiralling out of control and general boredom lead to this. Lady Stupendous and Captain Adorkable. She's made of Awesome and he quotes Kafka during fist fights.

They are so very stylish. Admit it, you think so too.

We Fly by Night

Random desire to practise lighting. That and I had missed drawing winged people. Mostly inspired by XMFC's character of Mystique, and general tidings of 2012's Apocalypse.

Done in sketchpen/markers and then coloured in Photoshop.

Black Widow

Black Widow being a BAMF. Because I loved her in the film. And because Scarlett Johannson is always awesome. Yes, that is Hawkeye's bow.

Lighting practice again. Plus tried out a couple of new brushes as well. Kind of happy with how it turned out, actually. Aside from vague anatomy issues :/

Avengers Assemble!

Natasha don't take no shit from anybody. She is the Badass-est woman in town. Hawkeye is also Badass, but Natasha takes Badassery to a whole new level. Tried out a quick-and-dirty doodle method. I must say  am pretty pleased with the result.

Unterwassjagd

Title translation: "Underwater Hunting".

An oldish doodle I found lying around, cleaned up and coloured in lieu of lighting practice. Dunno how much it works and all, but it was really-really-really fun to colour! That and my ♥ for ALL kinds of sharks Has anyone realised Michael Fassbender looks like a shark will last forever until the end of time.

Summer-time Girl

Felt like making something postcard-y and was listening to the Beatles and Grimm's fairy tales.  That and general summer time resulted in this. Summer time, summer time, summer time. Even if you are hot, all the colours are still brighter :D

Starry starry night, paint your palette Blue & Grey

The Midnight Fairy dances in the middle of the blue forest and nobody sees her dancing because she dances in the night-time. Done for fun in inks, conte crayon and pencilllls. Also because I was reading too many children's stories and wanted to do children's illustrations because I am a twelve year old hiding in a grown-up's body.

Sketch Dump: XMFC oriented

Sketching in the awesome Bechain Nagri sketchbook. Random doodles stemming from my love of XM:FC and drawing girls in stockings. Much ♥ for sketchpens; especially coptic markers and CMYK colour scheme.

Trip to Mahabaleshwar

Live sketching at Mahabaleshwar. (New!!!) watercolours  on handmade paper. The damn thing blots like hell.
Gardener at Panchgani, where we were staying. All he did was sing songs, play with this kid and pull grass in the winter sun. He looked pretty happy with his lot :)

asasasd

Strawberrieeees! And the nice trees in the wintery breeeeze! Look I made a rhyme!

Tamil lady at the resort. Got me very excited because I could partly understand what she was saying. (She said "romba nalla"). :D
